Baruch Chapter 4
O Israel, happy are we: for things that are pleasing to God are made known unto us.
5  Be of good cheer, my people, the memorial of Israel.
6  Ye were sold to the nations, not for your destruction: but because ye moved God to wrath, ye were delivered unto the enemies.

Books of the Apocrypha

Did you know that the first edition of the King James Bible is over 400 years old and contains the original 14 books of the Apocrypha?

In 1885, the Protestant church decided to remove these books from the Holy Bible, likely because they further explain the division and the eventual split within the 12 tribes of Israel. This separation between the Southern and Northern tribes is first mentioned in the book of 1 Kings 12.

A question often wondered but seldom answered is…

“If there were originally 12 tribes of Israel, where are the other tribes today?”

Well, within the 14 books of the Apocrypha lies the answer to this question, bridging the gap between the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible.

For example, the book of 2nd Esdras 13:40-45 reveals the hidden voyage taken by the lost 10 tribes of Israel to a land where mankind had never dwelt. This land is called “Arsareth” in the holy scriptures; however, Christopher Columbus identified this land with what we call the “Americas” today.

Did you know that Alexander the Great is mentioned in the Holy Bible?

If you didn’t, then you’ve probably never read the 13th book of the Apocrypha, known as 1st Maccabees Chapter 1.

This hidden book reveals how Alexander, the Macedonian, rose to power and waged many wars throughout the earth, spoiling many nations.

His four generals after him would reign over the mainly southern tribes of Israel and force them to forsake the laws of their fathers, profane their Sabbath days, and even forbid them to call themselves “Jews” (1 Maccabees 6:1-6).

The Hellenization of the Israelites was done in an effort to make the children of Israel forget the laws of their God, their heritage, and even their identity (Deuteronomy 32:26).

Due to the calamity imposed on the Israelites by the Greeks, a certain number of Jews began to prefer the customs of the Grecians over their own (2 Maccabees 4:15). In the eyes of their Israelite brethren who remained steadfast in the laws of the God of Israel, they would be seen as “Gentiles.”

This strife between faithful and unfaithful Israelites caused a strong division between the Southern Kingdom Jews, primarily residing in the coasts of Judaea, and the Northern Kingdom Jews who were called “Gentiles” dwelling in Galilee (Matthew 4:15).

Galilee was where Jesus Christ focused the majority of his ministry. During his time on earth, Christ’s primary objective was clear: to save the lost sheep of the house of Israel (Matthew 15:24 & Matthew 18:11).

Jesus even established his headquarters among the northern tribes of Zabulon and Nephthalim in the village of Capernaum, located in the northern province of Galilee (Matthew 17:22-24).

This jealous division between the Southern Kingdom Jews of Judaea (Romans 10:19 & Deuteronomy 32:21) and the Northern Kingdom Jews of Galilee (John 7:35) explains the commonly misunderstood scripture quoted by most Christians today (Galatians 3:28).

In fact, the true understanding of “There is neither Jew nor Greek” is that both the Jews and the “Greeks” are actually members of the two separate kingdoms of the nation of Israel, who were simply having a family feud. However, Jesus Christ is the redeemer of both kingdoms (Hebrews 8:8 & Jeremiah 31:31).

Ever since the Hellenization and subsequent Roman occupation of the Israelites began, great measures have been taken to completely erase the memory of the 12 tribes of Israel from the face of the earth (Psalms 83:1-4). This was also the reason the Protestant church removed the 14 books of the Apocrypha from the King James Bible.

With that said, let’s take a look at some original 1611 King James Bibles…

Baruch 2:35
“And I will make an everlasting covenant with them to be their God, and they shall be my people: and I will no more drive my people of Israel out of the land that I have given them.”
